I have never read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've tried...many times. I tried even harder when they made the movies...still to no avail. I have, however, read The Hobbit...many times. And every time, I enjoy it. So I was naturally excited to hear that Peter Jackson would be producing the theatrical version.

Then this morning I read this news - announcing that Guillermo del Toro will be directing that production. So the director who so brilliantly oversaw the world of Pan's Labyrinth will be teaming up with the man who brought Middle Earth to such stunning life. Yeah, this is going to be one heck of a good film.
