The Virtuous Woman

A virtuous woman:

- is rare,
- is trustworthy and never spiteful,
- satisfies her husband,
- is creative,
- enjoys her work,
- is selective and not easily duped,
- is prepared for the day,
- recognizes the need for help,
- recognizes a real bargain,
- is physically fit,
- recognizes the blessings she has in her life,
- leaves the light on in case she is needed,
- is a woman of balance and compassion,
- is prepared, and not afraid of harsh weather (literally or metaphorically),
- looks her best and knows her strengths,
- is influential in her husband's successes,
- is enterprising and makes use of her talents and gifts,
- laughs at life,
- is dedicated to godly speech (worthwhile and kind),
- is diligent, living with purpose and conviction, and
- reveres God.

She is a woman of wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, skill and blessing. And while she may feel like she'll never be all of these things at one time, she strives to be some of these things all of the time.

from the conversation "A Virtuous Woman" by Andrea Booth, based on Proverbs 31:10-31.

After the beautiful weekend we've had here, I'd add one more quality of a virtuous (or maybe just smart) woman:

- remembers to wear sunscreen when she lays out for the first time of the season.
